Nathan Russell-Raby is an accomplished filmmaker with over a decade of experience in production, development, and storytelling.

He began his career at Pinewood Studios as a Locations Assistant before moving into screenwriting with Pinewood’s content-investment arm, where he was personally mentored by the studio’s executive team. This gave him hands-on insight into financing, development, production, and distribution — tools he now uses to deliver both creative and commercial success.

At North One TV, Nathan created factual entertainment for Channel 5 and UKTV, shaping engaging, audience-driven programming.

His directorial debut, 3 Wheeling, is a cinematic documentary set at the world’s most dangerous race. Released on Amazon Prime and Apple TV, it racked up over 150 commercial screenings and drew 1.5 million fans on social media.

Nathan has also produced branded content for major clients — including Google — and overseen campaigns for regional and global audiences alike. He’s project-managed the Isle of Man Film Commission’s Talent Scheme and helped launch a regional streaming platform for 221 Media, showcasing his creative and operational range.

He now runs his own production company, DIY Studios, developing bold, independent films with strong stories and commercial bite. He’s worked with BAFTA-winning producers, Oscar-nominated writers, and some of the best talent in the business — all while keeping creative control at the heart of every project.
